How to become more confident with your giving!
Charitable giving is an act of love and faith, and it can also be a wise part of your financial planning. As we at From the Ground Up Ministries prepare for our year-end giving initiative, we want to help you make your donation dollars go further, both for your own financial well-being and for the precious children we are blessed to serve.
Our mission is to provide hope and healing to children who have been trafficked, helping them to rebuild their lives from the ground up, with faith as their foundation. Every gift you give is a seed of hope planted in a child's heart, and there are many ways to let your generosity blossom.
As you consider your year-end giving, we want to share a few ways you can be a faithful steward of the resources God has blessed you with, allowing your generosity to have an even greater impact:
Retirement accounts or Required Minimum Distribution (RMD): If you are 70½ or older, you can make a gift directly from your IRA. This wise strategy allows you to satisfy your required distribution and avoid taxes on the amount, freeing up more to invest directly in a child's care and recovery.
Donation bunching: By consolidating multiple years' worth of giving into a single tax year, you may be able to itemize and maximize your deductions. This smart, faith-filled approach can open the door to provide even more support for the children who need it most.
Tax refund: When God provides an unexpected blessing in the form of a tax refund, you can turn it into an opportunity to sow directly into a child's life. It is a beautiful way to use a financial return to bring spiritual returns.
Trust or Insurance Policy: By naming From the Ground Up Ministries in your will, as a beneficiary of your Insurance policy or retirement accounts, you ensure your legacy is one of compassion. Your forward-thinking generosity will continue to offer hope and healing to future generations of children.
